Ukrzaliznytsia to build 45km-long railway line

Luhansk Region Military and Civil Administration and PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia signed a memorandum during the Days of Luhansk Region in Kyiv on Tuesday to build a new 45-kilometer-long railway line between the village of Bilokurakyne and the town of Svatove in Luhansk region.

"The memorandum is being signed to build a railway branch that will be about 45 km long. This will be the first case in Ukraine in the past decade when Ukrzaliznytsia will launch a new line. And this will happen in our Luhansk region," the administration's press service quoted administration head Georgy Tuka as saying on Wednesday.

The construction of the railway line is stipulated in the regional program for transport infrastructure development in Luhansk region for 2016-2019, the press service said.
