Some fines for untimely payments for gas could be written off from heating suppliers – Naftogaz head

Board Chairman of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy Andriy Kobolev has said that a part of old debts of municipal heating supply companies in the form of fines for the untimely payments for gas the sources to pay which are not included in the tariffs could be written off.

"We propose the bill on writing off the part of the debt that are fines and for which there is no source," he said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister, Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Minister of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko said that the possibility of writing off the fines could be realized via bill No. 2706.
