Ukraine's government to borrow UAH 203 bln in 2016, including 51.5% abroad
The Cabinet of Ministers plans in 2016 to borrow UAH 203 billion, including UAH 104.554 billion abroad.
The corresponding figures are contained in the annex to the draft law on the national budget of Ukraine for 2016, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada at night on December 25.
Earlier, state borrowings in the draft budget, registered by the government in the Verkhovna Rada under No. 3000 on September 14, 2015 and promulgated by the government on December 11, were planned in the amount of UAH 217.998 billion, including external borrowings of UAH 119.554 billion.
The volume of public debt repayment next year in the adopted budget is equal to the amount in draft budget No. 3000 and estimated at UAH 135.204 billion, including external at UAH 13.88 billion.
According to the State Treasury Service, government borrowings in January-October amounted to UAH 495.462 billion, including external of UAH 405.482 billion. National debt repayment stood at UAH 408.194 billion, in particular UAH 322.763 billion was repaid on the foreign debt.
