Ukrzaliznytsia head won't rule out force to regain control of Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways
Acting CEO of State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia Maksym Blank has said he will not rule out the use of force to regain control over Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways (Kyiv).
"In the near future the state will regain control over the rebellious Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways, even if it has to use force. No one can tolerate separatism in the capital – it does not fulfill the orders of Ukrzaliznytsia, the instructions of the ministry, or the decisions of the Cabinet," he wrote on his Facebook page.
As reported, on March 4 the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers decided to suspend Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways Chief Oleksiy Kryvopishyn from his duties and request law enforcement agencies to launch criminal proceedings against Kryvopishyn. Blank said that Kryvopishyn was hindering the investigation into Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways, which Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways has denied.
On March 16, Blank said that unknown persons in the offices of Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways state enterprise were preventing the acting head of Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways Volodymyr Tiahulsky from working. Blank added that he had sent a letter to the Prosecutor General's Office.
