Coal stocks at Ukraine's power plants down 12.3% in a week – Ukrenergo
Coal stocks held in the warehouses of Ukrainian thermal power plants (TPPs) from March 15 to March 22, 2015 fell by 12.3% or by 123,970 tonnes, to 880,030 tonnes, according to a national joint-stock company Ukrenergo report.
According to the report, fuel oil stocks during the period fell from 109,720 tonnes to 107,040 tonnes.
The company said that on March 22 some 37 coal power units and two fuel oil power units at the thermal power plants of generating companies with a capacity of 6.839 GW were operating.
The share of nuclear power plants in total power generation was 46% (9,918 MW), TPPs - 32% (6,839 MW), combined heat and power plants - 9% (1,838 MW), hydro power plants - 12% (2,604 MW), and wind power plants - 1% (249 MW).
