Naftogaz could buy $1.69 bln directly from NBU in H1, 2015 - EFF
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) could in the first quarter of 2015 directly sell $1.486 billion to Naftogaz Ukrainy for critical imports, and in the second quarter this figure could be increased to $1.686 billion.
The relevant parameters are stipulated in the new International Monetary Fund's (IMF) EFF program for Ukraine.
According to the document, direct sales are not foreseen in the second half of this year.
In addition, the program limits the NBU's purchase of government domestic loans for the recapitalization of Naftogaz: UAH 17.2 billion - the end of March, UAH 26.1 billion - by the end of June, UAH 28.3 billion – by the end of September and December.
