Ukrinbank increasing charter capital by 25%

Ukrinbank (Kyiv) is increasing charter capital by 24.7%, or UAH 100 million, to UAH 505 million through an additional issue of shares, the bank said on its website.

According to the report, the bank's shareholders at a general meeting on December 30 put changes to the bank charter in connection with the increase in charter capital. The charter capital was increased through a private placement of shares with par value of UAH 0.01 among the existing shareholders and investors who agreed to take part in the share placement.

"Ukrinbank is progressively increasing capitalization. In general, this year the bank's charter capital has increased by UAH 200 million. Additional investment in capital will allow the bank to continue work within the framework of the strategy adopted, providing for the dynamic growth of assets, as well as strengthen its market position," supervisory council chairman Volodymyr Klymenko said.

Ukrinbank was founded in 1989. The largest shareholder of the bank on October 1, 2014 was Klymenko (24.9276%).

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, on October 1, 2014 by total assets Ukrinbank ranked 29th (UAH 6.728 billion) among the 166 banks operating in the country.
