Cabinet obliges large gas consumers in Dec-Feb to buy it only from Naftogaz
Large industrial, energy generating and heat generating companies have been obliged from December 1, 2014 to February 28, 2015 to buy gas exclusively from guaranteed supplier Naftogaz Ukrainy.
"Natural gas purchase from other suppliers of natural gas is prohibited," reads Cabinet resolution No. 596 dated November 7, posted on the website of the government, which approves the list of 90 such enterprises.
The government by this document obliged gas distribution and transmission companies in this period to transport gas to the mentioned enterprises only from the resources of Naftogaz.
As reported, Naftogaz sees a shortage of funds from payments for gas, supplying gas to the public and heating companies under subsidized prices, while gas supply to large industrial enterprises will allow to partially solve this problem.
