Russia ready to guarantee $100 gas discount for Ukraine for one year - Novak

Russia is ready to guarantee a $100 discount on the price of gas for Ukraine for a period of one year, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told a press conference in Brussels following the latest round of three-party gas talks.

"We've accommodated the European Commission's proposals, and for a period of one year we're prepared to provide the relevant guarantees or sign the necessary documents in the form of protocols to inter-governmental agreements," he said.
