Ukraine accumulates 13.4 bcm of gas in underground storage facilities – Yatseniuk

Ukraine has accumulated 13.4 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas in underground storage facilities, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said at a government meeting on Wednesday.

"As of this morning 13.4 billion cubic meters of gas are in Ukraine's underground storage facilities," he said.

As reported, Ukraine needs to increase gas reserves in underground storage facilities to 19 billion cubic meters for the winter season.

Stocks in Ukrtransgaz's underground storage facilities from April 1 to June 4 grew by 75.1% (by 5.412 bcm), to 12.614 bcm.
