Ukrainian president calls on Chinese investors to participate in projects in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has called on Chinese investors to take part in the construction of an orbital road around Kyiv.
Speaking at the Ukrainian-Chinese business forum on Thursday in Beijing, he said that Ukraine would like to make use of the experience of China in the construction of infrastructure facilities.
"Cooperation in this area would be important for us. One of the most promising projects for Chinese investors could be a project on the construction of a part of an orbital road around Kyiv," he said.
The president expressed confidence that the success of the implementation of the project should give a signal to foreign investors to stir up their participation in other promising programs in Ukraine. The president also paid attention to successful cooperation of Ukraine and China in the realization of some national projects of Ukraine with Chinese investments.
One of such successful examples is Air Express National Project, foreseeing the organization of railway movement between Kyiv and the Boryspil International Airport.
"It was a first infrastructure project, being realized thanks to support of China and it is at the stage of technical realization now," he said.
