Ukrzaliznytsia in Jan-Sep spends UAH 76 mln on railway infrastructure repairs

The railways of Ukraine in January-September repaired 60 infrastructure objects at a total cost of UAH 76.4 million.

According to the press service of State Railways Administration Ukrzaliznytsia, in particular, railway and pedestrian bridges, as well as culverts were reconstructed.

In addition, 23 objects were overhauled at a cost of UAH 62.4 million. In particular, the railways took anti-deformation measures, reinforced retaining walls, and carried out bank protection works.

In addition, the railroads completed work on cementing the footings of five bridges on the Dzhankoi-Simferopol-Sevastopol line.

"A lot of work has been done to overhaul the metal span construction, with a length of 55 meters on the bridge on the 244th kilometer at Novozhanove station of Pivdenna Railways. Work is being done to strength a bridge on the 86th kilometer on the Odesa-Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky line, as well as to overhaul the arch of the Bily Tunnel on the Simferopol-Sevastopol line," reads the report.
