Grain exports from Ukraine from the start of the current agricultural year (July-June) came to some 870,000 tonnes, First Vice Premier Serhiy Arbuzov said opening a cabinet meeting on Thursday.

He said that over the past 10 days prices of grain of the new harvest in Ukraine grew: by UAH 50 per tonne of wheat and by UAH 20 per tonne of barley.

Arbuzov said that the price of third class wheat at Ukrainian ports is around UAH 1,700-1,730 per tonne and that for barley – UAH 1,780-1,810 per tonne.

As reported, since the start of the harvesting campaign in Ukraine the prices of grain had fallen due to the increase of supply on the market.
