Yanukovych signs law on state guarantees under Ukroboronprom liabilities
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has approved the amendments to the law on the state budget for 2013 that were adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in July 2013 and which envisage an opportunity for the government to provide state guarantees under the financial liabilities of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, reads a statement posted on the president's Web site.
The head of state signed the bill supported by the parliament.
The amendments to the law on the state budget for 2013 envisaging an opportunity for the government to provide state guarantees under the liabilities of the concern were adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on July 5. The bill was introduced by Party of Regions MP Andriy Pinchuk and was approved at a government meeting on July 3.
State guarantees could be provided to Ukroboronprom under a government decision, and the terms of their provision are also established by the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the law, the repayment of borrowings under guarantee is envisaged at the expense of contributions from the concerns' participating companies.
The law on the state budget for 2013 set the maximum amount of state guarantees that could be provided by the government in this period, at UAH 50 billion.
