Naftogaz accumulates 9 bcm of gas in underground storage facilities, says Naftogaz head

National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy as of the middle of July had accumulated nine billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas in underground storage facilities, Naftogaz Ukrainy Head Yevhen Bakulin told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.

"Nine billion cubic meters gas is now stored in underground storage facilities," he said.

As reported, referring to Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky, Ukraine plans to accumulate 14-16 billion cubic meters of gas in its underground storage facilities by the start of the heating season of 2013/14.
