Ukrzaliznytsia denies media reports on danger of crossing points

Reports by some mass media that Ukraine's crossing points are not adapted for high-speed traffic and therefore threaten the safety of passengers are untrue and unjustified scaremongering, State Railways Administration Ukrzaliznytsia has said.

"The crossing points on the sections with high-speed traffic are fully compliant with the established safety requirements and the speed of trains," reads a statement.

"Ukrzaliznytsia notes that none of the media that published the provocative reports quoted any specialists, therefore the administration is insisting on the publishing of retractions by all media that published unchecked and untruthful information.

Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized that all crossing points supplied by producers have quality certificates, and in the process of their operation their technical parameters are constantly monitored using technical equipment, with monthly checks by commissions.
